Our Heritage
As a proud member of the International Pentecostal Holiness Conference (IPHC), our church is deeply rooted in a Pentecostal heritage that traces its origins back to the New Testament Book of Acts. The term "Pentecost" holds significance, representing the celebratory completion of the grain harvest in Israel. The pivotal Day of Pentecost, as documented in Acts 2, is intricately linked to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, marking the birth of the New Testament church. This divine occurrence continues to shape our journey, as God's Spirit is continually poured out in our midst to this very day.
Mission Statement
Our mission is clear: to connect people to God, Church, and Purpose. Drawing inspiration from the Great Commission outlined in Matthew 26:19-20, we see these as the "marching orders" from Jesus himself. Our commitment is not merely to make converts but to disciple individuals, guiding them towards a deeper understanding of faith. Additionally, we strive to facilitate connections through God's Word, community, and the unique calling that God has placed on each person's life.

Our History
The Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church had humble beginnings, starting as a small congregation, in home meetings and then to a small store front church in Hamilton to then move into what is now our fellowship center since August 1946. Later we moved into what is now our Sanctuary.
We were originally known as"The Hamilton Pentecostal Holiness Church", our name may have changed, to what it is today, "The Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church". Our enduring dedication to proclaiming the "Good News of the Gospel message" to humanity has remained unwavering. While our journey has seen evolution over the years, our steadfast commitment to sharing the transformative message of the Gospel persists unchanged.

This is the Gospel. This is our message. This is our mission. The Apostle Paul did not preach a Gospel of entertainment or compromise. He preached Christ — crucified, buried, and risen. At The Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hamilton, North Carolina, we stand on that same Gospel — unchanged, unashamed, and uncompromised.
Paul declared in Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth."We believe in that power. We have witnessed it transform lives broken by sin, grief, and shame. The Gospel does what no program, no philosophy, and no human effort can do — it changes the human heart.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We are a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled congregation rooted in the Pentecostal Holiness tradition. We hold fast to three pillars that define the transformed life in Jesus Christ:
Salvation — Every person is born in sin and in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ is that Savior. Salvation comes by grace through faith — when you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9–10)
Sanctification — Salvation is the beginning, not the destination. The Holy Spirit works daily to set the believer apart — conforming us to the image of Christ, giving us victory over the flesh, and producing the fruit of righteousness. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
Holiness — We are called to live separated, Spirit-filled lives that glorify God in every area — in our homes, our workplaces, and our communities. Holiness is not a burden; it is the beautiful evidence of the Holy Spirit's transforming work within us. (1 Peter 1:16; Hebrews 12:14)

The Great Commission is our compass. We exist to reach the lost, disciple the saved, and equip every believer to walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. As a Pentecostal Holiness church serving Hamilton, Martin County, and the surrounding communities of North Carolina, we are committed to being a lighthouse — a beacon of truth, grace, and Kingdom power in a world that desperately needs the light of Christ.
Our services are built on expository, verse-by-verse preaching of the King James Bible, passionate worship, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We believe every Sunday and every Wednesday Bible study is a divine appointment — not a religious routine, but a life-changing encounter with the living God.
OUR SHEPHERD
Rev. Rick D. Manning has served as Pastor of The Lighthouse since 2020. A Licensed IPHC Ordained Minister since 2009 and a graduate with a Doctorate in Theology and a Master of Biblical Studies from NC College of Theology (2014), Pastor Manning is driven by one mandate: preach the Word. (2 Timothy 4:2)
He does not preach himself — he preaches Christ crucified, buried, and risen. His ministry is marked by expository Bible teaching, compassionate pastoral care, and an unwavering call to holy living. Under his leadership, The Lighthouse has become a place where the Word of God is honored, the Holy Spirit moves freely, and every person is welcomed with grace.
